Morning: Departure from Arusha

After an early breakfast, meet your safari guide and depart from Arusha. The drive to Arusha National Park takes about 45 minutes and offers views of Mount Meru along the way.

Upon arrival, enter the park and begin your game drive through the lower slopes of Mount Meru.

Game Drive in Arusha National Park

Enjoy a morning game drive through different habitats of the park. Arusha National Park is known for its peaceful atmosphere and beautiful scenery rather than large predators.

During the game drive, you may see:

• Giraffes, buffalo, and zebras

• Warthogs and antelopes

• Blue monkeys and black-and-white colobus monkeys

• Flamingos and other water birds around Momella Lakes

The park offers excellent opportunities for photography thanks to its varied landscapes and mountain views.

Walking Safari with an Armed Ranger

One of the highlights of Arusha National Park is a guided walking safari. Accompanied by an armed ranger, you will explore nature on foot, learning about animal tracks, plants, and birdlife.

This experience allows you to feel closer to nature and is a unique activity not offered in most national parks.

Picnic Lunch

Stop at a designated picnic site inside the park and enjoy a packed lunch surrounded by nature. Relax, take photos, and enjoy the peaceful environment before continuing your activities.

Afternoon: Momella Lakes and Return to Arusha

After lunch, continue exploring the Momella Lakes area. These shallow alkaline lakes are home to flamingos, pelicans, and many other bird species. On clear days, you may enjoy stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance.

In the late afternoon, exit the park and drive back to Arusha, arriving in the early evening.
