DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you’ll be welcomed by your private safari guide and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Take the rest of the day to relax, explore the city, or enjoy the views of Mount Meru as you prepare for your adventure. Overnight stay in Arusha (accommodation not included in this version).

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart Arusha and head toward Tarangire National Park, famous for its huge elephant populations and massive baobab trees. A full-day game drive allows you to witness herds of zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, and possibly even big cats stalking prey across the savannah. Tarangire is also a birding paradise. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park and continue game driving until late afternoon. You will then transfer to your lodge or camp near Tarangire (accommodation arranged separately).

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park to Karatu

Today you’ll journey to Lake Manyara National Park, a small but diverse park nestled along the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Look out for tree-climbing lions, large troops of baboons, and flamingos along the lake’s edge. After an immersive game drive, exit the park and continue to Karatu, a lush highland town near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Settle into your lodge or tented camp for the evening (independent accommodation).

Day 4: Karatu to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, enter the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and drive toward the Serengeti, Tanzania’s most famous national park. Along the way, stop at scenic viewpoints and marvel at the transition from the forested crater rim to the endless plains. Once inside Serengeti, enjoy a thrilling afternoon game drive en route to your camp. Spot prides of lions, cheetahs hunting, elephants grazing, and herds of wildebeest roaming the horizon. Arrive at your Serengeti camp by evening (accommodation not included here).

Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

Begin your day with a morning game drive in the Serengeti, searching for big cats during their most active hours. After brunch or an early lunch, slowly depart the plains and head back through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Your overnight stop will be near the Ngorongoro Crater rim or back in Karatu, ready for an epic crater descent the next day.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha – Departure

Today you’ll descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best places in Africa to spot the Big Five in a single day. Explore the crater floor, which is teeming with wildlife — including rhinos, lions, buffalo, hippos, and flamingos. Enjoy a picnic lunch near the hippo pool before ascending and driving back to Arusha. Your safari concludes with a drop-off at your hotel or Kilimanjaro Airport for your international flight.
