DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park
After an early breakfast, depart from Dar es Salaam and drive to Mikumi National Park. The journey takes approximately four to five hours and passes through scenic countryside, small towns, and open savannah.
Upon arrival, enter the park and begin your first game drive. Mikumi is home to large populations of elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, and many antelope species. Lions are commonly seen resting in the grass, and with luck, you may also spot leopards.
In the late afternoon, exit the park and transfer to your lodge or tented camp. Check in, relax, and enjoy dinner under the African sky.

Day 2: Full Day Game Drive in Mikumi National Park
After an early breakfast, enjoy a full day of game drives inside Mikumi National Park. Explore different areas of the park, including the Mkata Floodplain, which attracts large numbers of animals throughout the year.
During the day, you may see:
Elephants and giraffes
Zebras, wildebeest, and buffalo
Lions and hyenas
Hippos and crocodiles at water pools
A wide variety of bird species
Stop at a designated picnic site for lunch before continuing with your afternoon game drive. The open landscapes of Mikumi make wildlife viewing and photography especially rewarding.
Return to your lodge in the late afternoon for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive and Return to Dar es Salaam
After breakfast, enjoy a short morning game drive for final wildlife sightings. Early mornings are ideal for spotting animals before the heat of the day.
