DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: Arusha to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast, depart from Arusha and drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, passing through scenic countryside and small local villages. Along the way, enjoy beautiful views of the Great Rift Valley and the highlands surrounding Ngorongoro.
Upon arrival, check in at your lodge located near the crater rim and enjoy lunch with spectacular views. In the afternoon, take time to relax, enjoy the surroundings, or visit a nearby Maasai village for a cultural experience (optional).
In the evening, enjoy dinner at the lodge while watching the sunset over the crater. The cool highland air and peaceful atmosphere make for a perfect overnight stay.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive and Return to Arusha
After an early breakfast, descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full morning game drive. The crater floor is home to an incredible concentration of wildlife, making it one of the best places in Africa to see animals in a short time.
During the game drive, you may encounter lions, elephants, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, and a wide variety of birdlife. The Ngorongoro Crater is also one of the few places in Tanzania where you have a strong chance of spotting the rare black rhinoceros.
Enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic spot inside the crater before ascending back to the rim. After lunch, begin your drive back to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon.
