10 Days Wildebeest Migration Safari in Tanzania
OVERVIEW
Witness one of nature’s most breathtaking events — the Great Wildebeest Migration — on this 10-day safari adventure through Tarangire National Park, Central & Northern Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Manyara. Timed during the peak movement of the herds (June–October for river crossings or January–March for calving season), this safari offers prime game viewing opportunities. Expect massive herds of wildebeest and zebras, dramatic predator-prey interactions, and unforgettable scenery.
DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its towering baobabs and large elephant herds. Explore the diverse landscape and spot lions, giraffes, buffalo, and over 500 bird species.
Day 3: Tarangire to Central Serengeti
Depart early for the Serengeti National Park, passing through the Ngorongoro Highlands. Enter the Seronera region (Central Serengeti), the heart of big cat territory. Enjoy an en-route game drive before reaching your camp/lodge.
Day 4: Full-Day Game Drive – Central Serengeti
Spend a full day exploring the Seronera Valley, home to abundant wildlife all year round. Look for resident leopards lounging in acacia trees and cheetahs hunting on open plains. Perfect region for photography and predator sightings.
Day 5: Central to Northern Serengeti (Migration Zone)
Journey northward towards Kogatende or Mara River area. Depending on the time of year, this is where the wildebeest are likely to be during their river crossing phase (Jul–Oct) or calving (Jan–Mar). Witness dramatic crossings and predator encounters.
Day 6: Full-Day in Northern Serengeti – Migration Tracking
Spend the entire day following the migration trails along the Mara River or open plains. Be ready for action-packed sightings, including crocodile-infested river crossings or lion hunts. Your guide will position you for the best vantage points.

Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive
Descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day safari. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is packed with wildlife — including rhinos, lions, elephants, and hippos. It’s often called “Africa’s Eden” for a reason.
